Sono stati assegnati il 4 ottobre, al Coral Spring Center for The Arts in Florida, gli International Reggae & World Music Awards noti più comunemente come IRAWMA. Tanti i premi che riguardavano la musica in levare con categorie che andavano dal miglior concerto dell’anno al miglior disco.
A fare collezione di statuette sono stati i Soja che si sono aggiudicati due premi ed esattamente come miglior show dell’anno e come Best Reggae Rock Song con il brano I Believe. Stessa sorte per Tarrus Riley e Chronixx che sono stati i vincitori rispettivamente nelle categorie Most Cultural/Educational Ent e Best Male Vocalist il primo e Miglior canzone con Smile Jamaica e miglior video con Here Comes Trouble il secondo. Il miglior disco dell’anno va invece a Ziggy Marley con Fly Rasta mentre la miglior voce femminile è quella di Tessenne Chin, reduce dal trionfo a The Voice Usa.
